NSW Plumbing Licence 456767C
Sewer Pump Services operates under a current NSW plumbing contractor licence — licensed plumbing and drainage work, on record.
Installation, replacement, servicing and emergency repairs — for homeowners across the Sutherland Shire to the Northern Beaches, and the strata managers and builders who rely on getting it right the first time.
Plenty of Sydney plumbers will, if pushed, swap out a pump between other jobs. Our focus is narrower: sewer and stormwater pumps, day in and day out, built on a plumbing trade that goes back to 1985.
That focus is why we carry stock for the most common Sydney pump replacements, why every sewer pit we install is custom fibreglass with a gas-tight lid — manufactured to our own wall-thickness standard, not the off-the-shelf thin-walled type that cracks within a few years — and why we handle the whole job ourselves: plumbing, pump-side electrical and digging, without subcontracting it out. The certifications and training to do it all properly are already in-house.
If you've had a pump fail twice, or been told someone will have to come back with the right part next week — that's the work we're set up for. The same problem keeps coming back when the underlying cause isn't addressed. We diagnose it properly.
Recent install — fibreglass pit, gas-tight lid, complete with new pump, discharge pipework and isolation valve.
These are the situations Sydney homeowners and strata managers call us about most.

Four steps. No chasing multiple tradespeople, no compliance gaps.
You speak directly to the pump technician who'll be doing your job — not a receptionist or call centre. Calls answered fast, work orders acknowledged the same day.
Our technician inspects the pump, pit, pipework and electrical connections, then explains the options and gives you a clear quote in plain English — so you know what you're dealing with before any work starts.
Once you're happy with the quote, we book in and do the work — plumbing, pump-side electrical and digging handled in-house, without coordinating separate trades.
Pump cycled and tested end-to-end before we leave, disconnection and reconnection certified, site left as we found it. Any questions, we're always on call.

Specialist work means licensed work, documented work, and work that meets the standards Sydney is built to.
Sewer Pump Services operates under a current NSW plumbing contractor licence — licensed plumbing and drainage work, on record.
Plumbing and drainage work is carried out to the AS/NZS 3500 standard family — the benchmark for compliant work across Sydney.
Issued by NSW Fair Trading under the disconnect/reconnect framework (UEERL0004). We connect the pump and alarm, set up the control panel and fit the overload protection ourselves; your electrician runs the supply.
Statement of Attainment from Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496). Deep pits and confined spaces are part of the trade — most residential pits never need it, but when one does, we're set up for it.
Public liability and workers compensation cover in place across all work, with certificates of currency available on request.
A plumbing trade since 1985, focused on sewer and stormwater pumps since 2010 — the work we do day in, day out, not a sideline. You deal with the same operators from first call through to commissioning.
Honest answers to the questions we get every week.
If your property has any waste fixture below the level of the council sewer main — basement bathroom, granny flat, downhill house, lower-floor laundry — gravity drainage isn't an option. A pump is required. If you're getting recurring overflows, alarm activations, or sewage smells from a pit area, that's a pump issue, not a blockage. We'll diagnose it on a site visit.
A correctly sized, properly installed residential pump typically lasts 6–8 years before earth leakage or wear becomes a real problem. Quality pumps in well-maintained systems can run longer, but plan for replacement around the 6–8 year mark — that's the realistic timeframe across Sydney homes. The variables that matter most: pump quality (we install Davey, Liberty, DAB, Grundfos and similar), correct sizing for the property load, fibreglass pit instead of concrete for sewer, gas-tight lid, and regular servicing. Undersized or poorly installed pumps fail much earlier.
Sewer pits need to be gas-tight and odour-sealed. Fibreglass with a gas-tight lid is what we install for sewer as standard. Older concrete sewer pits tend to crack, leach groundwater, corrode the pump and never seal properly — which is why most older installations smell. For stormwater pit work the requirements are different, and we match materials to the specific system.
Yes. We handle work orders from strata managers across Sydney every week. We follow your standard work order process, communicate directly with the manager and on-site building staff, photograph the work, and provide written reports in the format your committee needs for AGM documentation.
Yes — day and night, including public holidays. Sewer pump failures don't keep business hours, and waiting until Monday is rarely an option when sewage is backing up. We prioritise jobs by urgency: active overflows and strata buildings come first.
A proper service is more than a quick look. We clean out the pit completely — removing fat build-up, debris and foreign matter that strangle pump performance — then run diagnostic tests on the pump itself using a multimeter and megger meter, including an insulation resistance test that confirms the pump's electrical integrity. This catches issues before they become failures. Frequency: 12 months for residential sewer pumps, 6 months for stormwater pumps. Stormwater systems get more frequent servicing because the consequences of failure are higher — basement flooding, strata complex water damage, multiple unit owners affected. We recommend booking annual or biannual servicing as standard.
Yes. We hold the NSW disconnection and reconnection certification required to work on the electrical side of sewer pump installations and replacements. This means we don't need to coordinate a separate electrician for most jobs — saving you time, callout fees, and the scheduling headache.
We guarantee our workmanship — if anything we installed isn't right, we come back and fix it at our cost. The pump itself carries the manufacturer's warranty (typically 1–2 years depending on brand and model), and we hand over that paperwork along with your invoice at job completion. What's not covered: pump damage caused by foreign objects (sanitary products, wipes, grease, building debris) or fair wear and tear once the manufacturer warranty expires. If something goes wrong, call us — we'll tell you straight whether it's a workmanship issue we'll fix, a manufacturer warranty claim we'll help you process, or out-of-scope wear and tear.
We're based in the Sutherland Shire and our highest-volume areas are the Sutherland Shire, Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore (harbourside suburbs), Eastern Suburbs and the Inner West.
